Marcia Chambers founded Ragtime Rugs in the heart of Amish Country in 1984. Pennie Phares has purchased Ragtime Rugs. Pennie is maintaining the high standards and creativity that Marcia has established. Ragtime Rugs remains in the same location under Marcia's consultation for design and production.
Marcia's original creations have been featured in: Midwest Living, Country Living, Better Homes & Gardens, Indianapolis Museum of Art, Indianapolis Star, and Ag Day TV Show.
Rugs continue to be handwoven by Pennie in the Amish community of Northern Indiana. Pennie brings to Ragtime Rugs 30+ years of weaving, custom dyeing, and spinning.
